Art has always been my passion. For many years, and while pursuing a career in marketing, I studied life drawing, sculpture, painting, drawing, graphic design, art history and joinery. In 2000 I eventually decided to give in whole heartedly to my passion and become a full time artist.

I am best known for seascape paintings. However, I enjoy painting the natural world and people too. I lived many years abroad, in the United States and Switzerland, and that has taught me to observe and really appreciate my environment. I also enjoy 3D work as it allows me to express another side of my personality.

Commissions have included paintings of the London Array Offshore Wind Farm. Several of these were exhibited at Turner Contemporary for the wind farm’s inauguration. I was asked to put a sculpture into the award winning Marcel Duchamp Festival. I have also been commissioned to do portraits, paintings for corporate exhibition stands, artwork for greetings cards and paintings for hanging in offices and homes. My work is in the collections of private individuals and corporations in England, France, South Africa, United Arab Emirates and the United States.

I have sold artwork through Castle Art Gallery, Canterbury and McNeill Gallery, London. I have exhibited in London, Whitstable, Herne Bay, Faversham, Canterbury, Margate, Boulogne (France) and Etaples (France).

I am also a founding director of Beach Creative Community Interest Company, an arts centre in Herne Bay, Kent. It provides space for artists’ studios, galleries and workshop/meeting rooms.
